Big Lick Comic Con

This past weekend I was at Big Lick Comic Con in Roanoke. It was my first Con, and it was a lot of fun. My wife and Cuzbros helped me set up the booth and chat up passerby's. We sold some books and handed out free giveaways for two straight days, powered by nachos and whatever you call it when you add alcohol to various flavors of Mountain Dew. The afterparty on Saturday featured the band Hot Fuss, which seems to be a really talented Killers tribute band, though they took a break from playing any Killers songs at all, covering a wide range of popular alt rock from the aughts. Mothers Milk and A-Train from The Boyz were at the Con, and my Cuzbro James informed me that the guy who played Mothers Milk, Laz Alonzo, got his big break (after leaving a wall street job?!) as one of the guys in the Whazzuuup commercials! He's such a great actor in The Boyz.
