Mid-June Update

I've gotten all the edits back in from Book 2 now, so one could argue that it's done. I still need to make sure the formatting is consistent and complete, and all the forematter and back matter are good. And then think of cover ideas, finalize the title, get my ID numbers, etc.
I also need to change the name of a character - apparently somewhere between 200M and 1B people worldwide associate the name "Bixby" with their Samsung smartphone. What should I change it to? You members of the launch team (i.e. anyone reading this except for the spammers and con artists) can make suggestions and vote. Currently, his name is Karl Bixby, and he's a particle physicist whose work primarily focuses on the strong force. He's a middle-aged, traditional, kind, professor/working theoretical physicist type. He could be any ethnicity or background, but he works for a group secretly associated with and funded by the US government. He'll be in the next book or books unless he's killed off, and will develop powers. I think I even have the powers and his general arc decided, but I haven't checked my Book 3 notes lately and I don't remember.
As for Book 1, it's selling very slowly, but it is still selling. Counting the audiobook (my best selling format, so we should definitely count it), it's selling about 2 per day in June on average, plus bunches of pages read in Kindle Unlimited. I am not discouraged, as I've dramatically cut back on ad spending. Soon, I will do a 5 day free eBook blast through AMZN, promoted on several cheap and free eBook platforms, so if you wanted a copy of the eBook and haven't bought one yet, you may want to hold off for that! To those of you who already bought your eBook with money, first, THANK YOU, and second, I'm sorry that I'm giving others a better deal - I really need to get Book 1 out into as many hands as possible so that more people buy Book 2 when it comes out.
Speaking of Karls, I've been listening to the Dungeon Crawler Carl series and it's pretty damn delightful. I say damn because I'm jealous, but not in a gross way. It definitely deserves to be a million-seller. When are we going to have our first TV show or movie based on a LitRPG book??? Maybe this one is it?
