Between Amazon, Ingram, Audible, and my book signing, I've sold over 150 copies of my book so far. That feels... not bad, really. I am SO thankful to all of you who have supported me on this. I am humbled by how supportive my friends have been, and there is a special thrill when a complete stranger buys the book and likes it.
My goal is 1,000 sold by the time I launch book 2, though, so I have a LONG way to go. I've been advertising (as many of you are all too aware) on FB, Amazon, and Google. Effectiveness seems limited, but perhaps it is having some impact. I need to figure out new wrinkles, formats, messages, etc., to see if I can improve performance there. I wish I could track effectiveness toward sales more closely through anyone other than Amazon, however.
I have posted in several FB SF/F interest groups. I'll be advertising on the This Is Horror podcast soon, and am looking for others like that in SF and Fantasy. I will continue to reach out to bloggers, podcasters, and local book and comics stores. I'll do more research and implement what I can with the time that I have set aside for this.
My question for you, is what should I try next? I think the book is good enough that people who take a chance on reading it will be glad they did. What am I not thinking of, or what specific advice or contact would you suggest I look into or reach out to? Comment or message me!
