We took a vacation to San Antonio for the kids' spring break, but I was still able to eke out a little progress toward publication while I was away.

May 5, 2025 is my publication/release date. The eBook is pre-orderable on Amazon - searchable under its AMZN#: B0DYWQM3B5. I needed to do that in order to start my Audiobook project on ACX.

The audiobook performer, John Pirhalla, was in NYC for the Audie Awards this past week, where he was a finalist for best Science Fiction audiobook of the year (for Mal Goes to War - I just started listening to it today).

One of the things we did on vacation was ride very well-trained horses through the south Texas scrub (a very fragrant cedar grove in the picture, which apparently a lot of people are allergic to?). We also got the entire family riding, roping (I roped a nearby stationary wooden calf on my first try), and hand-feeding pellets of food to giant slimy-mouthed cattle.

We also did Six Flags, a Spurs game (where my oldest got so excited that fell out of his chair at one point), the Alamo, the Riverwalk (which I loved), and some other stuff. Everything other than the roads/traffic was wonderful. Apparently, San Antonio is the 7th largest US city? I had no idea. I would have guessed about 20th.

Some yahoo did kick a dent into my rental minivan at the Spurs game. I assume he was acting out a symbolic rebuke of society's expectations and requirements to conform. And I get it, I do. But the Sienna's not the problem, man. It's a bright spot, frankly.
